+out12 Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 I got a notification email today and the links provided are not working. The old notifications had links starting with www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details... This email has links that are http://coord.info/GCABCDE. I assume this is something new but it ain't working yet. Anyone else seeing this?
Moun10Bike Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 When you say they are not working, what do you encounter? What browser and OS? The links should redirect you to the proper page on the web site and currently seem to be working for me.

knowschad Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 (edited) It links to the Unpublished Listings page. I'm guessing the cache was published and then pulled by the reviewer for some reason.Moun10bike... that particular link works for you? The GC Code even looks bogus... GC ABCDE? +palmetto Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 (edited) Firefox 5.7.5 OS windows 2000 professional none of the links starting with http://coord.info/ ever load I a Firefox warning that "the connection has timed out" Using an ancient version of IE, I get The page cannot be displayed The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings. If I use the GC Code in http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?wp=GCCode, the pages load Turning off Greasemonkey has no effect Edited July 1, 2010 by palmetto

+beejay&esskay Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 (edited) I just tried the link on the OP and got: The server at coord.info is taking too long to respond. I haven't had trouble with these links in notification e-mails. Firefox 3.6.6 [Edited to add: But just tried one from an e-mail and got the same error. http://coord.info/GC2AYT4 ] Edited July 1, 2010 by beejay&esskay
+palmetto Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 I'm guessing the cache was published and then pulled by the reviewer for some reason No, the GC Code GCABCDE has never been assigned. As a reviewer, I'd see it as an unpublished cache were it attached to a cache. Perhaps the OP was just using a letter sequence to illustrate his point.
Moun10Bike Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 He was just giving an example when he entered the link to GCABCDE. There is no such cache listing.
+erik88l-r Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 I'm getting the same errors. Ditto for the caches I published that have a link to my profile, Profile for erik88l-r:http://coord.info/PR10BD ~erik~
OpinioNate Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 We have a hotfix prepared to address this issue. It should be going out shortly.
+out12 Posted July 1, 2010 Author Posted July 1, 2010 (edited) Should have mentioned, using Firefox 3.6.6. Yes, the GCABCDE was just a for example, not an actual cache listing. I am getting a connection has timed out error. "The server at coord.info is taking too long to respond." Thanks OpinionNate for a quick response, hope all is working soon. I just tried it with IE8 and not working there either. With IE I get the following: The address is not valid Most likely causes: •There might be a typing error in the address. •If you clicked on a link, it may be out of date. What you can try: Retype the address. Go back to the previous page. Edited July 1, 2010 by out12
