+Daghda
Are there any transparent trail maps for the northeast USA? If not are there any I cam buy? I see national parks lists trails , is that any good? I like to hike blue blaze trails. Quote Link to comment

+Daghda
Yes that is a good place for topo maps, but the trail data is not included. Quote Link to comment
+Entropy512
Yes that is a good place for topo maps, but the trail data is not included. Trail data for some but not all trails is included. Do you have a unit capable of using the Garmin Custom Maps function? You can use that to load a trail map into the unit. Quote Link to comment
+splashy
Maybe you find some NE trails on google earth. Quote Link to comment
seldom_sn
Maybe you find some NE trails on google earth. Or OpenStreetMap.... Should be real tracklogs there. Trails I've seen on Google were generalized pretty heavily. Quote Link to comment
+Redwoods Mtn Biker
There are plenty of tracks available online. Try searching for .gpx plus park or trail name. You might also try one of the track sharing sites. I've been using http://connect.garmin.com lately, but there are plenty of other ones. Quote Link to comment
+ras_oscar
I use osm. If i go to an area where the trails aren't documented I record a tracklog and enter it when I return. Its easy, helps me find my way back to the car and is a valuable contribution to the sport. Quote Link to comment
