Which brings up the next item: If you don't get into a thread on the ground floor, someone else will probably already have said what you are thinking. Sometimes you're better off not writing at all if you'll eventually take 2 pages and 20 posts to explain to the one last die-hard numpty what exactly you meant by numpty in the first place.
