+shunra Posted October 24, 2003 Posted October 24, 2003 Please compare the descriptions of TR0558 and TR2726, Officially, they have the same location. They are both disks, one designated S 257, the other S 257 reset. Can it be assumed here that the latter came to replace the former, which was lost? http://www.shunra.net ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' 'e' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' H I D E ' & ' G O ' G E E K ! +shunra Posted October 24, 2003 Author Posted October 24, 2003 But what should I log? Just the reset? both? The reset as a find and the original as destroyed? http://www.shunra.net ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' 'e' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' H I D E ' & ' G O ' G E E K ! ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' Quote
+Kewaneh & Shark Posted October 24, 2003 Posted October 24, 2003 Log the conditions of both as you find them. If you find the 'reset', then log it as found (or 'not found' if you can't find it). The original monument should be logged in a similar manner. Log it as 'not found' if you can't find it. It may not be destroyed, but you'll never know if you don't find it. If you're lucky enough to find it (and it may still be there) log it as 'found!' and then tell us. Keep on Caching! (and Benchmarking!) - Kewaneh Quote

The same SCALED location. Alas, I can't make out the vertical positon - it looks like the two disks may be a different heights. As Kewaneh & Shark say, log what you find. You may find both disks. +Colorado Papa Posted October 25, 2003 Posted October 25, 2003 JK1229 and JK1230 also have same descriptions except one was a bolt and the other a reset disk. Interesting, I found and uncovered the disk but never found the bolt. Another geocacher logged the bolt as FOUND but I doubt the validity since no pictures are associated with the find. The geocache page for JK1230 is the one that someone has tampered with the pictures and entries that I refered to earlier in another subject about being "offended." 1950 SurveyorJK1229 Quote
