JL_HSTRE
1) Where do I find the small ziplock baggies to put logs in? I don't recall ever seeing normal Ziplocks that small so I'm guessing I need to get them from some place like a fishing or crafts store? 2) What's the best way to attach a bison tube to a tree? Fishing line? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
Triskeles
Those little bags come from craft stores like Michaels. Or, since I dabble in beading, I get them free when I buy stuff. I keep 'em and use those. I'll leave the second question to the experts. Quote Link to comment
Max and 99
We use zip ties from the garden dept. to attach bisons to trees. Cheap: about $3 for 100 ties? The small baggies can be found at craft stores, most likely in the bead section. Good luck! Quote Link to comment
birder428
I got small (about 3"x2") plastic bags at a craft store. I got way more than I wanted, but that's how they were packaged. It was about $4 for 300 bags, or something like that. I've seen bison tubes hanging from trees using plastic wire ties. Quote Link to comment
kunarion
Pharmacies sell little ziplocks for pills. Hardware stores have rolls of green rubber-coated wire to support plants. Depending on your needs, that's an option. Fishing line tends to get brittle after a while (may require a little more maintenance). Edited April 26, 2010 by kunarion Quote Link to comment
Cache O'Plenty
If you want the bison tubes to hang, I use steel leader wire, the kind with the snap clip on one end and a swivel on the other. A little pricey but they seem to last longer. And, yes, craft stores. They come in various sizes. Quote Link to comment

thedeadpirate
We ordered over a 1,000 of them for less than $10 online. I still haven't managed to give half of them away. http://www.packagingsupplies.com/poly-bags.html Quote Link to comment
