briansnat
There are a number of Garmin Oregons in that price range. You just need to figure out which one fits your needs the best. All of them do Wherigo caches so you need to think of the other features you want. Quote Link to comment

Chrysalides
http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=245683 $50 MIR for the newer Garmin Oregon / Dakota models. Note that purchases from Amazon does not quality. Not sure why. I'd get the 450. Quote Link to comment
will136
I am enjoying my Oregon 550t. Having the camera built in means I don't forget to bring one. I don't know anything about Wherigo. Do you know someone that has one so you could go out and see how it works with them before you shell out the bucks. Quote Link to comment
HawkLawless1
I splurged and got a 550t also. Camera, paperless, touchscreen...it's all awesome. Paperless allows you to see the description, recent logs, and hints, so no more carrying printouts or copying notes. I downloaded a Wherigo, but haven't been able to do it yet. Although, I did the tutorial while I was out at a park one day. Kids thought it was pretty cool. Definitely recommend checking one out. Quote Link to comment
Knight2000
I also got an Oregon for Wherigo. Wherigo is overrated. Quote Link to comment
rising.sun
I went with the Oregon 550 and use the camera a lot more than I expected to when I bought it. Added 24K maps to it later, so I do not miss the 100K maps that come with the 't' version. Very pleased with it. I take it hiking, geocaching, and it has been on 3 river trips with me so far in the kayak, doubling as both GPSr and camera. Quote Link to comment
coralteach
I love my Garmin Oregon 550. I got it through Amazon. It was the cheapest. Quote Link to comment

OldBenC
I have the 550T and enjoy using the camera function. The screen is not too great in direct sun light and the card has a habit of slipping out when changing the batteries. There are times I carry extra sets of rechargeable batteries. +CortandTrent
I love the Oregon series. I had a Oregon 300 since Christmas and just upgraded to the 450 today. The 450's screen is sooooo much better, I highly recommend it. Quote Link to comment
