+weathernowcast
I found an archived cache today without a GPS. The owner thought the final was lost so he archived it. Nope! Just where I looked. Orient Express Note the great CO actually recorded the GC number on the container so I knew which cache it was! I was surprised it was archived. Orient Express Really?! It's still there? I've had this one on my to-do list forever! How is it that you just happened upon it? Did you go for the cache without knowing the listing had been archived? Curious.. Quote Link to comment
+macatac1961
Uncollected archived caches are called geo-trash. There's a good chance that all the other parts of that multi are still out there. The older the game gets, the more folks drift away from the game, the more it falls on the rest of us to follow up on things. Dude you just ratted the guy out in a public forum for not picking up a dead cache. Quote Link to comment

I also contacted the CO. I think the cache should be unarchived as it is fully functional. Otherwise i will either pick up the container or create a new cache with it--perhaps in its existing format.
