+pissedfish
Is there a way to get a PQ by county? I can sort caches by county once I get them into GSAK, but I have to create queries first. Then I have to preview it to see where all it covers. If it does not cover the entire county, then I have to create another PQ or two to get the rest. If there is not a way, I sure do think if would be a handy option to have available. -Pissedfish Link to comment
+mr007s
Since our max is 500 per query, you may need more than one query anyway. Especially if the county is large or has a high concentration of caches. Link to comment

+mr007s
A pocket query may also be generated from the GC.com Google map displayed on cache pages. A work around may be to estimate a location where the center of the county is, click to center it in the center of the map and do your query from that point. the zoom scale will determine the query search radius. +pppingme
An issue with this is that GC does not keep track of county. GSAK does, which is why its easy to filter. Right now I see a ton of problems with users getting the STATE correct when setting up new caches (and yes, the reviewers seem to consistently miss this), most people have no idea where county lines are and listing in the wrong county would become a very large problem. And even the GSAK county information is not terribly accurate where there are lots of irregular lines between counties. Link to comment
+W8TTS
And even the GSAK county information is not terribly accurate where there are lots of irregular lines between counties. It's all in the accuracy of the data used that provides the layout of the county. Some is very good and some isn't. But, something is better than nothing, and it would be nice if GC did provide counties and allowed it to be selected in PQ's. But, as said earlier, in some cases it would take more than one PQ to do some counties. For example Cuyahoga County, Ohio currently has 1171 active caches. Link to comment
