+The Fossillady
OKay, now the figuring begins, I have to be at training the next day up in No. Calif. Let's see, go to Yuma, drive back to Ontario, catch a plane to Sacramento. Yep, I think I can swing it. Quote Link to comment

Yuma was my first ever event. What a weekend. Truly enjoyed fishing in the rain and the warm up. Archived or not I'm sure we can pack the place...again. Hopefully this year we can do alot more caching around the event. Edited December 5, 2009 by Ramona Retired Snipe Quote Link to comment
+Jeep'en Jumpers
Just found out Friday that just pissed me off! The City of Yuma wants to charge me almost 900 bucks to pull the permit for our event. Years past it's been 110 bucks and that's not a big deal but this year what they are asking is insane! If I can't work it out with them we might have to move it to the fairgrounds who I know the manager is a cacher. Not as nice but it will work. See what happens with the City on Monday 12/07/09. The park was put back after the event in better condition then before the event, with the CITO Event that was held. Edited December 8, 2009 by billybe Quote Link to comment
+Jeep'en Jumpers
Have a meeting with the City Staff at 1:00pm on Wednesday the 9th. Let everyone know what happens, I'm hoping I've talked to the right people to get this changed. Quote Link to comment
+Jeep'en Jumpers
Had a meeting with the City Of Yuma today to discuss the fee. First thing they threw out was reducing the cost in half, that's still four hundred and fifty bucks! I showed them the pages from the Yuma Event #6 with some pictures of our group. I told them about us picking up after ourselves with the C.I.T.O event. Promised we would leave the park better than we found it. We might also have to park up by the train leaving room for others to use the area also. Need to have insurance for the event covering the City. I think they are going to work with me on the price but wouldn't say by how much yet. Should find out soon if it's a go or not. The Yuma Event will go on, just not sure if it will stay at the present location. Edited December 9, 2009 by Jeep'en Jumpers Quote Link to comment

+Ramona Retired Snipe
JJ keep up the great work. Is there a place where we can send notes or letters of support to assist in your fight to have a realistic pricing? I wonder if Yuma realizes how much revenue is actually brought in by Hotel, Campgrounds, Lutes, fuel and batteries purchased throught out the weekend. Quote Link to comment

+Ramona Retired Snipe
Reservation made for the HOJO. Dragging out GeoDC and wife along. Going to hit town Friday morning knock out some local caches. Try to see how many event caches we can wrangle up (25 to be released Sat. Morning). We'll be back in town for the flash mob and warm up event. And of course some of that great tri tip and and CITO before bouncing on home. Quote Link to comment
