mirageseekers
Hi all, First of all, we are newbies, so I hope this is on the correct forum, but we need a little help. Are any fellow cachers planning a trip accross the pond in the near future? We just picked up a geocoin, and without any logbook or tag attached, knew nothing about its mission until returning home to log our finds on the website. When we did so, we discovered that the coin came from the USA, and Its mission is to travel WITHIN the USA (oh dear). We would love to get this coin back to onto its mission without just passing it around the UK, but unfortunately an american holiday isn't in sight for us. Quote Link to comment
Bambography
Contact the owners of the coin (shown at the top of the coins page). They may be happy for it to continue its travels here or let you post it back to them. I have a trip to the States planned but its not until Easter. Quote Link to comment
HazelS
Yep = I'd do as Bambography says... but if it helps I have a trip to Washington DC planned for New Year. Quote Link to comment
saddler21
Not sure it will be the perfect solution, but I'm flying to Vancouver, Canada in three weeks time? I've got some caching planned out there... Quote Link to comment
speakers-corner
If none of the help mentioned helps, try getting the TB close to a TB-Hotel near to an airport and attach a note to it explaining where it has to go. I have done this before here in Germany. Edited September 14, 2009 by speakers-corner Quote Link to comment
redsox_mark
My sister (who lives in the USA) is coming to the UK next week, and returning to the USA on 28 Sept. She's not a cacher but my brother-in-law there is... so if I could get it before the 28th she could take it to the USA. But I'm not in your area. If you would like to post it to me send me a email message. Mark Quote Link to comment
mirageseekers
Thanks for all the replies and thans Redsox Mark, unforutnately for one reason or another we've only just managed to come back to the forum and won't be able to post it to you in time :-( Saddle 21, when are you going to Canada (hope we've not missed this too) and if we've still got time please could you email me your address (dave@miragegraphics.co.uk) and I will post it to you ASAP. Thanks again everyone. Quote Link to comment
Moote
Sometimes a TB or coin owner actually does not mind if it goes off mission; contact the owner to see if they require it back in the US Quote Link to comment
