Stompy
Almost every cache smaller than a 35mm film pot seems to get listed as "Unknown" why is this when then guidelines state the following, why is this? Micro (35 mm film canister or smaller – less than approximately 3 ounces or .1 L – typically containing only a logbook or a logsheet) This seems to fit a nano perfectly! Quote Link to comment

Exactly, that's why film canister and smaller is all "Micro". Which is already annoyingly small. Quote Link to comment
+Wintonian
Some pepole would like nanos to have their own individual size like micros and regulars. All the nano's I have seen so far are like these ones. Edit to add: However I think you are right as things stand now nanos should go down as micros as is written in my interpritaion of the guidlines. +Lydford Locators
We use the ? if we're hiding something sneaky where the size would give away too much and IF we were to hide a nano we'd class it as micro. Quote Link to comment
+speakers-corner
All the nano's I have seen so far are like these ones. In Germany there are a few acorn nuts being placed arround. I have found about 5 myself and have place one. I shall be bringing some to England in August for my brother and a few others. I think they are fun. Even better is a properly hollowed-out screw if this is placed well. Edited July 18, 2009 by speakers-corner Quote Link to comment
+*mouse*
Nano's are micros..... (makes it easier for us anti micro/nano lot to filter them out on GSAK ) Quote Link to comment
+gazooks
I set a couple of my nano caches as micros and got moaned at by cachers as they were looking for something bigger - a 35mm film canister. Quote Link to comment

I really, really wish that people would be consistent and classify anything film canister-sized or smaller as a micro. Loads of nanos are classified as "other" or "not stated", which then screws things up a bit. I use Lordelph's icons on Memory Map, and there's a Micro symbol in there. However, if people use "other" or "not stated" for nanos, they show up as non-micro-sized caches, which can be annoying and misleading. A Nano category would maybe solve the problem, but I don't see a need for this if people apply the guideline quoted above properly. Grrr! Lee Quote Link to comment
+drsolly
One of my caches is a *lot* smaller than a nano. You'd get a few dozen of my pico containers into one nano. :-) But that's a very specialised cache idea. I'd hate to look for one of those in a forest! Quote Link to comment
