+Bill D (wwh)
Any cachers in the Oxford or Birmingham areas who'd be prepared to talk to local BBC radio please see this post on GAGB. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
nobby.nobbs
We've been asked by two seperate BBC stations whether there is anyone who could take out a reporter and show them how to cache and prob do a short segment on the radio, they both sound very positive so it would begreat if we could get a couple of volunteers Quote Link to comment
+Haggis Hunter
I have done this twice for BCC Radio Scotland, once was pre recorded and the other was done live whilst on the ground. I have to say I had fun doing both of them and would recommend anyone who isn't shy to give it a go. Quote Link to comment
+Mad H@ter
Hopefully BBC Oxford will find a better presenter than last time , Ann Diamond just did not get it at all, had blatantly done no research and made a complete hash of it Quote Link to comment
nobby.nobbs
Hopefully BBC Oxford will find a better presenter than last time , Ann Diamond just did not get it at all, had blatantly done no research and made a complete hash of it The person who has approached us is as producer who has just found out about geocaching and has taken her family to find one or two. So she's very positive about it Quote Link to comment
+Mad H@ter
There is a meet near Oxford next Wednesday, I'll see if I can generate some interest. I would volunteer myself, but I'm the 1st to admit that my communication skills are not great so don't think that I’m really up to the challenge. We are also in the process of moving to Bristol so would probably struggle to fit this in anyway, not much time for caching at the moment . Just a thought, perhaps they would like to come along to the meet and talk to lots of cachers and look for volunteers themselves. Quote Link to comment
+Harry the furry squid
I'd volunteer, but as I have a speaking voice best described as "Joyce Grenfell with a heavy cold" I'm not sure the results would be fit to broadcast! Quote Link to comment
