+mcwomble
Is it just a quiet time of the year, or have there been no new caches published since before Friday. Just wondered whether there was a problem, that's all. Quote Link to comment
+chizu
I saw an announcement that all the reviewers are on a jolly together this weekend, and aren't back until tonight. I'm sure normal service will be resumed soon. Quote Link to comment

+The Blorenges
New to this, so HI! Is there somewhere specific where new caches are listed/reviewed? Thanks Hello your Highness, welcome to our humble forum... When a cacher desides to hide a brand new cache for fellow cachers to seek out, they first fill out this form: Report a new cache. When they press the "Report New Listing" button at the bottom of that form, all the information magically flies through the ether to end up in the UK Reviewers' Queue. There are 3 reviewers for UK and another one for Ireland. The reviewers look at all the individual new cache submissions, check them to see whether they follow the Groundspeak guidelines for placing a cache, and then either publish them or investigate further details with the cache owner if necessary. MrsB Thank you Mrs B! Where does it end up then? Is there something I can click to find new caches or is it just a matter of looking and remembering what was already there? Quote Link to comment
+Bear and Ragged
Various options to find new caches. 1. On your www.geocaching.com/my/ page, under search Options there's List Newest in "your region" 2. Search through the list in Search for nearest caches from your home coordinates (filter out finds) in the filter out finds link. 3. Use a PQ (Pocket Query) which has various options such as distance from home/cache type/difficulty and terrain, and by hide date -such as this week. Or set up "Notification" to get almost instant notice of local caches as they are published. Edited March 9, 2009 by Bear and Ragged Quote Link to comment
