grrlrighter
Hi all, I'd like to buy a Bison tube for a micro hide, but I want to go to a physical store and look at one (or several) before I purchase. I've only been able to find places to order online. What type of store would sell such items? I live in the NYC area. Thanks! ~gr Quote Link to comment
+WatchDog2020
Drugs stores always have them. Look in the section that has storage containers for pills. The smaller ones for Nitro pills might even work better then a normal Bison. Edited February 24, 2009 by WatchDog2020 Quote Link to comment

Thanks! ~gr Many pharmacies, grocery and department stores carry the inexpensive generic versions of these. I've also bought some at our local Workshop Tools store for $.99. I think Harbor Freight may carry them, also. You can find the 'real' ones at REI and other sporting goods and outdoor stores. Edited February 24, 2009 by sbell111 Quote Link to comment

+BAPMAN CREW
Another good place is a Army - Navy surplus stores, which is a good place to buy ammo cans and camoflage tape. Good camping stores have them. Quote Link to comment
knowschad
REI carries the actual Bison brand. Quote Link to comment
My Name is Earl
Walgreens have cheap ones. Quote Link to comment
knowschad
Walgreens have cheap ones. I've never seen a drugstore that carries Bison tubes, although they all carry cylindrical pill bottles that are a bit bigger in diameter. They do work very well, but not the same. For some reason I haven't been able to figure out, I'm rarely finding the tiny nitroglycerine cylinders anymore, though. Quote Link to comment
+lil'hobo
I recently saw some chrome plated brass pill containers which were about 1 1/2 in tall and 3/4 in wide at the local army navy store for only $1.99. While they aren't the real thing, they do have an o ring seal and a key chain attachment on top. Only thing is they are quite shiny. Quote Link to comment
+Taoiseach
Since this seems like it will be a good reference thread, I should point out that Lee Valley Tools sells them. Not that that helps you in the NYC area though... Quote Link to comment
