+LostMontanan
I was snooping around the net tonight and came across this cache. Anyone on the forums hunted and/or found this one? 79 DNF's compared to 17 finds? Wow... Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
Even more impressive when you figure that probably half of all geocachers don't bother to log their DNFs. Quote Link to comment
Clan Riffster
Intriguing. I wonder how far away it is from Bell Buckle. I found one with a similar ratio after spending a combined 15 hours hunting. Quote Link to comment

If my in-laws still lived in Johnson City, I might have even had a chance to look for this one. Quote Link to comment

Well... not *right* by it, but what's a 15-mile side trip among friends? [Edit: speelin and such] Edited January 28, 2009 by J-Way Quote Link to comment

+vacacher
I'm not clear on the point of difficulty. Are the searchers having problems even when using the correct coords? I would like to search for a truely difficult hide. But a puzzle would be an impass for me. (I know, I know, I am a puzzle weenie.) Quote Link to comment
Clan Riffster
Are the searchers having problems even when using the correct coords? I can't speak for the others, but the one I spent 15 hours searching for was a traditional. My 60CSx put the coords at 5' off when I finally found it. Quote Link to comment

+twotfd
There's one close to me that has 2 finds and 47 logged DNFs. It is a 5/1.5 GC1KBJP Finishing Touch I was FTF Quote Link to comment

I don't know about the cache described by the OP but on Shelter III there is an occasional muggle factor. I suspect that it's a fairly small container hidden such a way that it blends in with the surroundings and since it's in a shelter the GPS satellite reception might not be that good.
