Malta cache?

As a very experienced "Cacher", [i enrolled Wed evening, and found my first two on Thursday!], I have a question.

Although all aspects of "Caching" interest me at this stage, I am particularly fascinated by items that travel and/or can be tracked.

I'm a fairly regular visitor to Malta, and I thought of attempting to get an item to Malta, by the efforts of others.

Then when I go there in the Autumn, either move it further on within the Malta Island group/bring it back; alternatively, take something with me in the Autumn, and start it over there.

I couldn't find Malta listed in the list of Countries, and as many of us Brits visit there, I thought that the UK list might be the best place to ask if Geocaching is established over there.

Regards,

Malta is indeed listed as a country. If you open the cache search page and use the drop-down list next to 'Country', you'll find it under "M" :P

There are 30 caches currently listed in Malta.

Good morning - Welcome to the forum :D

I found the rough centre of malta using Google Earth and then did a search using the co-ords

N35°53.601 E14°26.763

There're are quite a few caches out there already:

Malta search results.

Hope that helps as a starting point for you.

MrsB

Edited to add: I notice one familiar UK geocaching name has already got a few caches out there. :P

i quite enjoyed my caching in malta, there are a few to do for a small set of islands, it was a shame that it was at the start of my caching life or i would have planned it better.

i shall have to go back to do some more, it will be a good excuse to go back.
