marikun Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 There are a few locations near me with virtuals that could also benefit from an Earthcache. Does the 0.1 mile rule exist between caches without a physical container, such as virtuals, webcams, and Earthcaches? Quote
Keystone Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 I am moving your thread from the Geocaching Topics forum to the Earthcaching forum. That's because the rules for earthcaches are different than for geocaches. Quote
+mm_dancer Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 (edited) i dont think there is, not sure exactly the answer to the 'non-container' question, but i know there is a cache near me in a cemetary with questions to answer about tombstones and the final down the road a ways, and then another cache right in the cemetary was published as well in the same cemetary (not a very big one) but for earthcaches, i know that i read that you can place an earthcache near another cache, but there was a stimpulation about contacting the existing cache owner first. edit: found the quotation 'EarthCaches can be placed close to existing caches, but we require that the EarthCache developer contact the original cache developer before submittal.' Try the site http://rock.geosociety.org/earthcache/ for more info on earthcaches! Edited December 21, 2008 by mm_dancer Quote
