+command Z
I logged a local event cache as "Will Attend" last night and this morning I noticed it did not add a find to my find number. Does this count as a find? I noticed on other profiles that there was the event cache icon under there geocache found list. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
Keystone
"Will Attend" is like an RSVP to let the event organizer know that you will be there. Since you haven't been to the event yet, a "Will Attend" log does not increment your find count. Once you attend the event, you log an "Attended" log to say that you were there and what you did and to thank the organizer. An "Attended" log increases your find count just like a "Found It" log on a physical cache. Quote Link to comment
+JPatton
A "Will Attend" log is just to let other people, including the event organizers, know that you plan to attend. After the event, you can log an "Attended" log and it will show and count as a find in your stats. Quote Link to comment
+vw_k
...and once you've logged it as "attended" you will get an event cache icon on your profile too Quote Link to comment
+trainlove
And if you ever host an event you can Attend it since you actually did attend it, unlike the inability for someone to actually find their own caches of nearly any other type. Quote Link to comment

I don't think there's actually anything preventing someone from logging finds on their own caches. Just that many consider such double logging to be a bad/cheating/low morals thing to do.
