+DJ.J.ROCK
as some know im pretty new to this,, but i had an idea and wondered what you peps think, or if someone has done it ,and its no new idea,,,, so you take your trackable coin that you drilled because you dont want it to end up missing,,and attach it to a tb tag, for a 2 log find,, the cacher can log both, and if youve done this awhile mabie you could attach both the tag and the coins that have traveled and came home, and send them out again,,togeather?? just a thought for a grand find!!! also what would your best find be thus far from the day you started to cache? just wondering Quote Link to comment
+fairyhoney
I love your enthusiasm. It's refreshing to see this through the eyes of a newbie. WELCOME Yes, most anything is possible. Your 2 for 1 isn't anything new but is nice on the receiving end. - Good Luck ! ! ! (Be advised, though, a hole drilled in a coin doesn't necessarily guarantee its safety - unfortunately ) Quote Link to comment
+River Cacher
Glad to see you are coming up with ideas on adding a twist to the fun. I have one TB Jer-bear-coin-cache-tb #TB1F7CT That is a small stuffed bear with a backpack that is to be used to pack around Geocoins. This does allow cachers to log 2 for 1 if there is a coin in his back pack. I Think I have seen one TB that was attached to a coin as you had mentioned. I do not discover or I would be able to check my finds. Keep up the gread ideas and please send some out as it is a very rare find to get. Quote Link to comment
+wsgaskins
Yep, that's a great idea!! How about a 2-for-1 find of a coin as well?! I have a Hippie bus coin traveling along out there with one of my personal GasCans coins. Seems like a good way to travel these days of gas stations running out of fuel and shutting off their pumps! http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?tracker=TB1WGWZ http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?tracker=TB1PT4Z Quote Link to comment
acadiahiker
Here's one I came across a couple of years ago: a USA geocoin riveted to a TB tag. http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=334037 Quote Link to comment
+DJ.J.ROCK
Here's one I came across a couple of years ago: a USA geocoin riveted to a TB tag. http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=334037 I like to be clever, but I see there are many of you who are just too clever, I will keep thinking of stuff someday I will think of something grand for you all ,, I like the bus and gas coin thats good,, today I found a gr8 hide,,one of the coolest ive seen yet,(working on the railroad 2),becide the gnome home in Loveland Colorado(those that have seen it will never forget it),lol and the beetle kill series are cool hides too.. ,,what has been your best finds? +BrierPatch
I came across a cache in New Jersey while on vacation Interestingly enough it was an ammo can and the coin with tracking number was perminantly attached to the cache so you could log the cache copy the tracking number and discover the coin. While not exactly what you are asking is similar. Quote Link to comment
+Map Monkey
Why not go all the way and attach 10 TB tags to it and thereby get 11 finds. I really don't understand why the need to gain 2 trackable finds from the one object, especially with the extra cost needed just to achieve this mm Quote Link to comment
+Butterfly_lady
Yes, fine, if numbers are your game. One thing I have seen is a card with photocopies of 4 geocoins, attached to one TB tag. I kindly thought I would move on one or two of the coins in the cache, but had to take, and individually log all four! Time consuming. Quote Link to comment
+Guinness70
spend twice the money on half the stories? so numberjocks can go into extasy of +1 on their TB count? why stop at 1 TB on the coin, make it really worth their while attach 10! 10? no wait, HUNDRED !! go for it 2-19 Quote Link to comment
