+markandsandy
Since this is a GPS forum, not an ammo can forum, it probably isn't the best place to ask. Try your regional forum, you'll probably have better luck. Quote Link to comment

+renruts
Feel free to stop over to http://www.wpaga.com/catalog we normally only carry Official Groundspeak merchandise but we just picked up a load of 880 .30 cal cans and 224 .50 cal cans. The prices are TBD on the .30s as we have to finish checking them. The .50s are $7.00 We do not have them listed on the site quite yet, but they should be up there today. Quote Link to comment
+Dale n Barb
We also sell them in our store as well as online. spacecoastgeocachers.com We are located in Merritt Island, FL and we are an official Groundspeak Distributor. We carry most anything a geocacher would want. You can walk in and do all your shopping in one place. A one of a kind store. Quote Link to comment

If you have an Ace Hardware store in your area you might check it out. Our Ace has good sized ammo cans for $4.99. Topekan Quote Link to comment
+delphic
You probably need to stop messing around and look online for a surplus store that can hook you up with a pallet. Last I saw was a site offering a pallet of 72 .50 cal cans for around $550 + $75 for freight shipping. That comes out to less the 9 bucks per. Quote Link to comment
+gelfling6
cabela's sells them...was just in store...saw them for $14.99 (plastic now tho) I, personally, would advise against the Cabela's ammo boxes.. 2 reasons.. despite the design, they are not waterproof, as a metal government issue.. too many holes through the case to allow water seepage.. and, plastic, they are prone to easy damage (crush, crack, breaking.) I would recommend looking in your phone book yellow pages for Military Surplus stores.. They usually carry a fairly wide assortment (size, weight) metal ammo cans.. Price range varies from store to store, but I picked-up a couple of 30mm large cans (your typical Large cache size) for only $11.99 here in Connecticut, at a store on the Berlin Turnpike, in between Newington & Berlin.
