+spolik
ok i had someone find one of my caches and replaced the log. thank you , he was ftf. i went and checked on another cache and everything inside was dry, except the log in a ziplock baggy, was wet. i want to replace the log , should i copy the logs to the new one? or just replace the log, only about 5 finds on it. i don't mind copying it. i now i like to read some of the names on logs from the caches i find. thanks spolik. +briansnat
If its a micro log with a few names on it I may copy them over to the new log. More than a few logs or a full sized logbook with real logs instead of names, I just stick a fresh one in and the old one gets dried out and goes in my collection. +Howlingmoon
If the old log and new log won't fit inside the container, I take the old and contact the cache owner to see if they want the old log returned to them. If old log tis wet and I'm leaving it, I'll put it in a baggie seperate from new log. I did a LOT of that on my last trip to Fort Smith, AR. There's a lot of caches down there that people can't seem to close the container and/or baggie correctly. Quote Link to comment
+StarBrand
I just stick a new log in whenever I need to replace for any reason. Make a note in my maintenance log and leave it be. I have quite a collection of old log sheets and books after all these years... Quote Link to comment
stryder717
If the FTF had to replace the log then you might want to look into getting a new container. Quote Link to comment
