+Durango633
I looked for this answer before posting, hopefully I didn't miss it. Where is and what is the oldest known TB? Maybe there is no way to tell. Quote Link to comment
CacheNCarryMA
It's probably Deadly Duck: Envy. ID 1, reference# TB1, released August 30, 2001. I wonder what's the oldest active travel bug? "Active" = placed in a geocache in the past six months. Edited June 18, 2008 by CacheNCarryMA Quote Link to comment

+Eartha
I imagine THIS is the oldest TB. Actually, though that says it was released in 2000, it wasn't placed in a cache until 2003. I think there are older TB's. People sent things traveling before there were tracking numbers. Quote Link to comment

Then, starting with TB4 apparently several were sold at a Geocaching event in Virginia before they were announced publicly, per this TB log Then around TB20, you start getting into Mountainbike geocoins. Before then, people made their own home-made travelers, which is what led to TB's being invented in the first place. As I see Eartha already said. Sorry, missed that. +A & J - Adrift
TB383 is the oldest one we've moved. It's still going strong. In 2006, we picked it up and dropped another TB in the same cache. The replacement TB was immediately stolen. So, it's survived at least one near death experience. Quote Link to comment
