+The Hornet Posted May 23, 2008 Author Posted May 23, 2008 Wow! That was quick Paul. So it's a Pandora Sphinx moth, never heard of it before but a real beauty. Thanks. Quote
+L8HNB Posted May 23, 2008 Posted May 23, 2008 So the wallet does open then Seriously, it might be worth dropping an email to the Shropshire Wildlife Trust - the guys I know in Worcestershire WT would be very excited if they knew they were about. Cheers, Henry Quote
+The Blorenges Posted May 23, 2008 Posted May 23, 2008 It is a Lime Hawk moth. Quite common. And around this time of year. Chris Quote

+Geo-Gophers Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 (edited) Yes definitely a lime hawk .....I had a few emerge from their pupae about a month ago that had been overwintering in our loft (captive-bred). Beautiful moths and the caterpillars are pretty special too (see link below). http://ukmoths.org.uk/show.php?id=1226 Edited May 25, 2008 by Geo-Gophers Quote
