eminence
The jog wheel on my 400 fell off. I can stick it back on, and it clicks into place relatively securely. But it could fall off quite easily again if brushed against. I'm away from home, about to leave on a trip, so I can't have the item returned for repair. Any idea what I can do? BTW the unit is fully operational - I just want to know if I should glue the wheel on - or do anything else. Thanks so much! Quote Link to comment
+webscouter.
It is designed to snap off. I wouldn't glue it then you wouldn't be able to turn it. Quote Link to comment
SergZak
I don't know how the wheel is mounted to the unit (since I don't own one) but I've fixed numerous devices that had some sort of dial or knob mounted on a shaft by using a bit of tape on the shaft to take up the slack and add some friction. +Red90
As stated, that is what it is supposed to do. Perfectly fine. Don't worry. Quote Link to comment
+g-o-cashers
I've knocked mine out once and while it does snap back in I'm concerned about losing mine on the trail and not noticing. I asked Garmin about this during one of my tech support calls and they told me that they were working on creating a separate part number for the wheel so that you could order a spare or two to keep in your pack.
