Some Thank You Events?

I for one owe my local ex-reviewer (Ecky) numerous drinks, by way of thank you! I'm sure many others feel the same!

While Dave is a fellow south-resident like myself, his stomping ground is a bit too far away for me to organise anything, but I would like to propose a couple of events local to (at least) Lacto and Ecky (ie, staggering home distance!!! :P ). Does this sound like a good idea, and would anyone local to our esteemed reviewers be willing to find out a date they can make it, and get an evening in the pub sorted out? If nothing else, we can all sit around and gripe at the injustices in the world in relative safety! :P;)

I appreciate that they will hopefully be at Harrogate but thats an awful long time away!

And I hope to add a little "Thanks to Deceangi slot" to the next Cheshire / Wirral / N Wales event on 15th May...

Providing he's not to swamped to come!

Having been very busy for the last few weeks we have not been keeping track of the forums and then look what we find!

It has been suggested for some time that we should organise an event, this seems like a good excuse. We were thinking the same as you too.

We have always wanted to meet Lacty as our local reviewer and we would happily organise an event locally to thank him for all his hard work; assuming that he agrees naturally. We will email to check with him and see if he would be guest of honour :P

Sorry to see the two of them retiring though :P At least they can go and find some caches!

I figured he wouldn't have time off for socialising Hazel! How about an event in his own home? then you can carry bottle of perrier to him while he's sat in front of the PC! :P

Me thinks a regional tour, or should that be a royal progress, would be in order. I'd be happy to organise one in this region (not that 'what is a region' chestnut again!) as there are many locals who would love to meet, greet and thank them. Dec's could join as well.

Mmmm! Beer!! I like the sound of that. Without wishing to mention any establishment's name I wonder if there would be any interest in an event at 52°11.157'N, 2°51.311'W

I'm sure the landlord, Andy would welcome an influx some time. And it's certainly within 30 minutes staggering distance of Lactodorum Towers :P

The village has its own, non-commercial, website for anyone interested.

Edited to add that Lacto says he'll certainly be attending the Mega Event at Harrogate.

Count me in for that one, mate. It's been a while since I was down that way and sampled the local brew with Mr. Lactodorum. It'd be good to do it again ;)
