+The Finding Irish 4
Hello All, Looking for a little help on a new GPS, looking into a few different Garmins; Rhino 530HCx, 60CSX, and of course Coloroda 400T Like the 400t paperless function, but hear some use a Palm to eliminate paper..... If we doo this why not take a radio as well? More to the point looking at 530HCx for kids, if they are out hiking and we are camping the saftey feature looks good... How do the 530HCX and 60CSX compare feature for feature??? How would you go if you were me? Thanks Quote Link to comment
+Artsifrtsy
I have a RinoHCx (this one offered appears to be the discontinued model without the high sensitivity receiver). Comparing it to the 60Sx there are some non-radio differences. According to the Garmin website, the 60 does not have the electronic compass and altimeter. The Rino does not have an auto routable basemap. I'm sure there are some other differences - I geocache with mine and I use it in my kayak. It's a great functional unit. The weather radio is a great plus too. Quote Link to comment
