  1. thank you to all for replies and your support- getting the phones next week and can not wait to start learning- seems like much available just need to pick what works best! keep me updated on any news or tips you come across! as I will the same- email pls! I just got a Droid and am playing around with geobeagle and cachemate. I'm using an additional program to cut down on the sensitivity of the compass and gps. Did my first caching with the droid last weekend. the cachemate compass brought me directly to 2 of the 3 caches, and off by about 2 yards on the third. Geobeagle was very close on all three. The interface of both take a little bit to get used to, I plan on checking them out more this or next weekend depending on the weather. [reference to unauthorized application removed by moderator.] Geobeagle and [removed] are free, cachemate is $8.00

  10. My wife and I both use the Rino 530 HCx and the kids have the etrex- our units are dead on 95% of the time and had no known problems since Feb 2008- I checked walking speed and both were good today- so yes there is hope- we love the units!

  12. I left a travel Bug my son wanted but when I go to log it I only find 2 choices = retrieved local or a note- but I see where others can actually show what cache they dropped it in How can I do this- so far I only left a note as to where he is
  13. If they simply abandon the CO and bring out a new model---would anyone even buy it considering the black eye that Garmin now bears?? Even early adopters are smarter than that. Fool me once................ This would be a good time for Magellan to bring out a killer model. BTW, an hour after I sent my previous squawk about Garmin CO repair service (been 4 weeks without my CO and no feedback from service department), a new CO arrived on my front porch. I did an immediate battery life test with previously used batteries---the thing shut down at 2.56 volts! this means that the CO is still rejecting batteries with lots of remaining energy. This is a bad sign-- battery life is not likely to be any better than before. Looks like it will be going back to the dealer for a refund. Anybody want some full size SD cards? You Can send those SD cards to me as I can use them in my new 530HCx- great unit! and in need of a card!!
  14. i have a palm IIIe and was wondering the same Looks like we're in! Trailgators sent me to a site with lots of good info.- let me know if you get any more info and I'll do the same.
  15. Nope, it has enough memory to do the job. If you are buying one then there are better options. If you already own it then it's not worth buying another one. I had it stored in my desk collecting dust- and looked behind my screen and the cradle is still hooked up- need to dust it off and get new batteries but it's in great shape- what's my next step on learning?? thanx for your help. Awesome! Here is a great site loaded with info! Went to the site- thanx- it is filled with info!!

  22. Hello- in a past discussion I read that someone would load coords into their pilot 2610 and use that-- then when close to location they would go to the handheld! I was on hold to long with Garmin- anyone that could explain how to load them on the pilot i would appreciate it!!
