fishdirt
Spawned from another thread. I've read some pretty cool ideas. I figure if someone is having a hard time figuring out what to put they could check here. Many cool things can be gotten on the cheap yet be valuble. I went to ebay and found this: Wire puzzles Flashlights compasses tissues tape measures Quote Link to comment
+Airhead-kb
One of the cheapest and handiest finds I've seen in a cache lately was a small baggie with about 10 other small baggies in it. (1" x 2" size or so - the ones perfect for geocoins, etc.) Quote Link to comment

Kyul_and_Carbon
From My Perspective: Dollar Tree Items I am likely to buy for swag: Umbrella Ponchos Gloves Ice Scraper Batteries Kid Safe Outlet Covers Rulers Pencils Pens Expanding Towels (new thanks to a poster here!) Bandaids Hair Clips and Barrettes Disposible Gloves DvDs (generally duplicates I have at home) My Children (ages 6 and 8) Small Dolls Legos Beautiful Pens Polly Pocket Stuff Small Action Figures Cards Notepads Jewelry (rings and necklaces for girls) Toy Animals Crayons By no means is this a complete list of what we buy every time and keep stocked, but its a list of what we have put in before and what we like to find (or at least examples of what we like to find). +briansnat
Emergency ponchos are 87 cents at Walmart. One of my favorite items are individual packs of insect repellent wipes. I get a box of 12 individually packaged towelettes for $3 on sale and leave 1 or 2 in a cache. I also get individual packs of hand sanitizer and leave those. Quote Link to comment
+StarBrand
I Shop sales at Walmart and get items from different area Dollar Stores. Most everything I trade with is worth between 50 cents and 3 dollars. I got some $1 - really nice Stanley Tape measures a while back - need to save one for if I ever get up Briansnats way...... +paleolith
I also get individual packs of hand sanitizer and leave those. Yes, but stick with foil packets, not mini-bottles. A couple of weeks ago I got a report that one of my caches (GC150R6) had moisture inside. I was baffled, because it's a dry box, I was the last one there before the report, and the reporter said it was properly closed. When I was finally able to get to it today, it didn't take long to figure out the reason. Someone had left one of these mini-bottles of hand sanitizer, and it had leaked. Someone else mentioned mini pens. I do that, especially since I've gone after a lot of older caches, and the pens are often dead. (Yes, I trash out the dead pens too.) Staples has their own brand of mini gel pens at about $4 per dozen, and they sometimes go on sale for $2.50/dozen. Edward Quote Link to comment
