+Sevilon
Small article, but it was in our paper today. I think I may need to try some caching around Boyd Lake. Vintage silver coins showing up at Boyd Lake Vintage silver coins have begun turning up in the geocaches hidden at Boyd Lake State Park. The first coin, a 1964 Kennedy silver half dollar, was discovered on March 4, and an 1887 silver dollar was discovered on March 14. There are several geocaches at the park. Geocaching is a treasure hunting game with GPS. +CSpenceFLY
Just what we need, people raiding caches thinking they are going to find valuables. Whoever reported that to the media needs to be smacked. Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
Just what we need, people raiding caches thinking they are going to find valuables I had an extensive collection of silver coins and Indian head pennies. Pre 65 Kennedy and Franklin halves, Ike dollars, quarters, dimes, etc... They weren't worth a much actually so I started putting them in caches. The collection is gone now, but I'm sure some finders were excited...until they found out that the things weren't worth a lot. Edited March 24, 2008 by briansnat Quote Link to comment
