Ferreter5 Posted March 19, 2008 Share Posted March 19, 2008 I noticed something the other day... If I type in Ferret, then I don't show up on the dropdown list. If I type in The, then my friend The Gutt Clan doesn't show up in the drop down list. In fact, the dropdown list appears to have a rather small number of users in it. Is the result set limited in some way? Link to comment
+Isonzo Karst Posted March 19, 2008 Share Posted March 19, 2008 I'm not sure how that the result is limited, I do know that if you type 5 characters and stop, you'll get some of the users whose names start with those 5 characters, and it's not case sensitive. Here's an experiment to play with it I typed in eagle This generated a list that included one name starting eagle_, a bunch of names eagle***** and a few eagle(space)*** I typed in eagle_ I got all names with eagle_ I tried eagle(space) and got the same list as eagle. No attempt got me the name of a user Eagle Dad, though one of them got me Eagle Dad1 ! If you don't have the name exactly, getting to it is iffy. I don't understand the rules. Link to comment

I would have expected to get all names beginning with the letter: F I also tried typing in: Geo And also got back only 20 names in the dropdown list. So, I'm assuming the result set is being limited to only 20 names. The limit seems to be 20 names. Link to comment
