:o I've just purchase this unit and have question. When I transfer a track, waypoint etc. from the unit to the PC or the other way around the unit shuts off.Any ideas why its doing this? Also when I go to the interface- USB mass storage the only way to get it off of this is to turn unit off! Any suggestions of why it does this!

After the transfer in mapsource, there should be a dialog box with a checkbox that says something like 'turn off GPS after transfer.' Make sure it's unchecked.

For the second part, try selecting the drive from computer and ejecting it.

hope that helps.

When I am in that mode, I can press and hold the power button and it will go out of that mode to the screen that shows on start-up. My unit does not shut down at this point . To get that to happen, I have to release the button and press/hold it again. (I am running Software version 3.5 and GPS SW version 2.9)
