toddm
Has anyone that has converted their metroguide 2008 software to auto route had a chance to compare the maps and autorouting with CN 2008?. I like the idea of not having to buy $130 of software with every gps, but if there is a big difference in the map detail or usability I might do it anyway. Quote Link to comment

I did not know that there was a MetroGuide 2008. In the UK v9 has been out since last Spring [2007]. Quote Link to comment
toddm
No doubt that's my bad, I simply meant whatever the latest version of metroguide is Quote Link to comment
xxgg
I say MetroGuide is more than good enough. But remember... difference isn't just autorouting but... NT series have that special file compression. Entire North America of NT series can be fitted into 1GB card. Where as MetroGuide can't. Than again 2GB mem cards are cheap. Quote Link to comment
+hogrod
I've tried both, but much prefer the city Navigator maps because of their updated map data. V7 or V8 of metroguide still don't show some major hwy upgrades in my area, where Version 2008 of city navigator does. Quote Link to comment
