+eagsc7
This Used to be a feature for Premium Members. When the old Geocaching.com maps went to the wayside(assuming part of the Pheonix Project), I think this feature was overlooked and was just forgot about at the time. I think the Ideal place would be a Line Item in the Premium Features stating "Find Archived Caches" on the My Account Details Page. Lets Call this for a Public vote. At the beginning of your First post, Either say Yes or No for this feature. Thanks The Steaks Link to comment
+Arndtwe
YES FYI this has been dicussed before, look below this thread and you will see... Link to comment
+Shilo
I think this feature was overlooked and was just forgot about at the time. You thought wrong. It was left out on purpose. As Arndtwe said it has been discussed numerous times with an official statement from Groundspeak. Try doing a search because I don't have the thread saved anymore. Link to comment
+Miragee
As Shilo says, it was left out on purpose. Since there are thousands and thousands of Archived caches, I don't need most of that information. For caches that are being Archived now, I get the "Insta-notify" email for Archived caches. I can save those emails and even make a Bookmark list of the caches that are Archived, which also have some importance. If it is a rainy day, as it is today, and I feel like it, I can go back to the Profiles of cachers who started caching long ago. I can pull up the Archived caches from their Hides and Finds. Those older Archived caches are probably a lot more interesting than the recently-Archived cache that was in the landscaping at the nearby Lowes Store. Link to comment
Keystone
This subject is already being discussed in this long-running thread. The change in the maps has nothing to do with Project Phoenix, and the removal of the ability to see archived caches was not an oversight. I encourage interested posters to add their comments in the existing thread, but I'm closing this duplicate. Link to comment
