mrjiffy
Hi, A quick question for some assistance? I wanted to post some coin photos on one of my postings, I have uploaded them to an online host, but cant seem to get the code right to have them display on my forum post. Any quick hints/assistance from those familiar with doing this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, MRJIFFY aka Jason Quote Link to comment
SUp3rFM & Cruella
This is how you have to do. Use this syntax [img=http://address.of./your/image.jpg] Quote Link to comment
The Moop Along
No code required. If you want the photo to show up in the post, use the little "tree" icon and past in the URL of the photo from your web host. If you want to just link the photo, use the little "earth and chain link" icon and past the URL of the photo from your web host. Viola. Quote Link to comment
The Moop Along
One other neat trick to finding out "syntax" for posts. Quote someone's post that has what you want, colored text, photos, etc. Scroll up to their post, and see what they used to make it work that way. FYI Quote Link to comment

mrjiffy
Hi, thanks, I figured out the problem, my free photo hosting site was using dynamic web pages for the image hosting which the forums don't allow linkages to! I switched to photobucket and everything works great now. Thanks for your help! Jason Quote Link to comment
fairyhoney
SO, we need to post our picture elsewhere and we can't just go to our pictures in our computer Someday . . . Quote Link to comment
Kealia
Not unless your computer is a web server or set up to host images online. There are lots of free sites out there that will host pics for you. Quote Link to comment
mrjiffy
The photobucket site is actually pretty easy to use and they provide the code you need to insert in to your post to make it appear on the web. I agree that sending right from your computer to Groundspeak would be easier, but I guess they are trying to keep their costs down by not letting their bandwidth get out of control!
