TopangaHiker
I just came home from a 10 day trip beginning in California and going through Utah, Colorado, Arizona and back home to California. While camping in a Utah State Park one night a park ranger told me about the official GC's they are placing. They even have GPSr's that they loan out! The datum was different than what's used here but after some adjustments to my 60CSx I found it. Would anyone like me to share to coords? Also, I think that the nine boys we had with us on the trip will be future cachers. Quote Link to comment

TopangaHiker
Actually, I'll share the info with everyone. Here's the PDF: http://stateparks.utah.gov/docs/utwk_geocache_guide.pdf The one we went to was in Snow Canyon SP near St George. Utah sure has some beautiful places. Quote Link to comment
+Green Achers
We just got back from a quick trip to Utah. The only cache I was able to get was a hundred feet away from our hotel room. Talk about lucky, huh?! It completely made my trip a success! Quote Link to comment
+Moore9KSUcats
Wow... isn't that really great that the Utah State Parks are so interested in geocaching? They are even putting in prizes, etc. in the caches. I hope they get good comments from the visitors so they will keep involved in geocaching. Quote Link to comment

Well, on that topic the state of Utah couldn't make it any easier to get people involved since you don't even have to own a GPSr to play. They have Magellan units to loan out. The only way it could be easier would be if the GPSr's were from Garmin! Quote Link to comment
+kelita13
Wow. That kind of makes me want to visit Utah just for that. That's very cool. Quote Link to comment
+Haffy
What a great idea, too bad more state parks couldnt become as involved as Utah is. Quote Link to comment
+reb8600
Here is a link to all the Utah Parks caches. They made 500 coins and will put them in throughout the year. http://www.utahgeocachers.com/UtStateParks...?Cmd=ListCaches Quote Link to comment
