Hi there all, and a very big thankyou to all that helped me get started.

I was wondering though, on my Account Details there is a heading of I plan to attend (in the next 30 days) How do you mark listings in order to have them listed there?

I see, so instead of marking a listing as found, you can mark it as WILL ATTEND.

Event Caches?

Cache types are listed HERE. Basically, an event cache is a cache where people come and meet up and chat, swap TBs etc. There can be more to it but that's the basic plan. For an example see GC134NN.

Then when you've been and enjoyed yourself you can log the event as having "ATTENDED".

and it'll show up as a cache "find".

Apart from it doesn't do what it says. It shows all events you have posted a will attend on, whether they are within 30 days or not. It then stays on your page until 30 days after the event has taken place. Either that or it thinks the date of your log is the day of the event. Either way it's weird and doesn't work.

You'd think it would disappear the day after the event, wouldn't you?

I've got one sitting here at the moment telling me that I will attend an event that took place last weekend, and it sounds like it will still be there in four weeks time!

I got totally pis*ed off with it and changed all my 'will attend' logs to 'notes' instead.

Funny, apart from the Will Attends that I logged before the option came into place, all my Will Attends logged since have worked fine.

On the 24th May I posted an attend log for an event being held on the 28th June.

My 'Will Attend' message on my account page stayed there saying that I would attend on the 24th May, and it disappeared on or around the 24th June.

 

So yeah it doesn't work correctly!!
