+The Mighty Shark
Hi gang I have just purchased a copy of memory map 5 and am very impressed with it so far, but I was wondering if it’s possible to import the different icons that represent the various cache types. I have tried importing the waypoints for all caches available in the UK and I think that importing the data as loc files seems to be the best but all caches are shown with the same icon. I tend to take my computer with me a lot when I go away and do not always have internet access but being able to open up memory map and display most (if not all caches) would be a good way to get around this problem. But being able to know if a cache is a regular, multi, event, etc would be great to see just by looking at the screen so do any of you clever people out there know if it’s possible? I know that there is an option to import icons as bitmaps but if I did this would it update the icons automatically or would it meant that all 19,000+ uk caches listed at present would have to be done manually? Thanking all who reply in advance…. Mark Quote Link to comment

+BCNorwich
The Mighty Shark The thread mentioned above makes very interesting reading. But to save you a bit of time and possibly getting in a muddle download Lordelphs Icons from the first post, look in there for the "readme.txt" file. That should put you on the right road. regards Bernard Quote Link to comment

I'm sure the answer is a simple one (he says hopefully ) Quote Link to comment
+melmur
I would ask for help in the other thread if I were you otherwise this one will become a duplicate thread. Quote Link to comment
+BCNorwich
Yes, somewhere in the other thread it tells you to delete all the icons in MM and retry your imported overlay. Apparently when MM has a full quota of icons it reverts to the blue dot for anything new that you try to put in. Regards Bernard Quote Link to comment

+Sussex Leprechauns
Hi Mark - I have managed to get this work very recently (for both v4 and v5) after trying on and off for a good few months. If you haven't got it working yet, e-mail me and I will see if I can help. Diane Quote Link to comment
