CivilVet
I just bought a 76Csx and while it says it is waterproof and floats, I still want to put it in a nice drybag or pouch to keep it dry when I am out kayaking. Anyone have sugestions for a bag that fits it? I found one at a outfitter, but it has text printed on the front which requires me to put in upside down so I can see the screen. Less than ideal, but that is the best I have found. Anyone found something that works really well? Quote Link to comment
+mblitch
I got one of the Glisson neoprene cases [r76n] for ~$14 shipped from GPSgeek. It will help keep casual rain, spills, and dirt off the unit, though isn't waterproof itself. When kayaking, I just place the whole thing in a ziploc or in my clear deck bag. I think the neoprene cover is worth the price in terms of protecting the screen and keeping out dirt. Quote Link to comment
+SAPD
I used an Aquapac for my 60CS during several white water rafting and kayaking trips without incident. I never had a problem with the GPS getting wet even when the raft was flipped (several times). Quote Link to comment
240GL
Yup, an Aquapac is all you need. Loop the lanyard around one of the shock cords. Quote Link to comment
+GeoXterra
I have been using a pouch called a Drypak for about 3 years and it has worked great! http://www.drypakcase.com/ I have also used it to put my camera in when parasailing and any other times when it'd get wet. Very waterproof and only cost about $12. They have them with cushioned backs or clear backs. Cushioned backs give it more boyancy. Quote Link to comment
