+pickNgrin66
I just got my first ever PDA, an old Palm M125. I put cachemate on it and downloaded a bunch of gpx data into it last night. I am thrilled! My question for all you users of old palm devices is: what other software do you use on you palm? Leads on any geocaching related software would be great, but other software would be good too. thanks... -matt Quote Link to comment
+pcunningham
I find Vikao useful for viewing pictures of maps on my Palm. Quote Link to comment
+Maingray
Wave at pickNGrin66 Useful app for storing puzzle cache information "in the field": Co-ordinates (free) http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/theroyles/coordinates.zip Co-ord converter: Mimee (free): http://www.bestpalmsoftware.com/mathematic...er/mimee219.htm Cache Log Book: free, alternative cache "journal": http://webpages.charter.net/rfruediger/ Too beefy for the M125, but for viewing map images: MapView (pay): http://www.indevsoftware.com/product.php?I...on=27&ep=88 I assume you are using GSAK on the PC to organize Palm info, and then use that to sync to the palm GSAK (pay): http://www.gsak.net Offline viewing of cache page html, use on PC and sync to Palm Plucker (free)..can use GSAK to generate batch cache html: http://www.plkr.org Edited May 15, 2007 by Maingray Quote Link to comment

+pickNgrin66
Thanks everybody. My desktop machine is a Mac, so the GSAK route is out for me (but maybe not for other Palm m125 newbies out there). Does that make Plucker irrelevant to me as far as geocaching goes? thanks... -matt Quote Link to comment
+The Jester
I don't have the links, but some other software I use on my M125: Geocaching Navigate - co-ords format, project, distance between- very powerful Braille - helps with in-field decoding Hint Decoder - ROT13 decoder, great for those portions that Cachemate does decode Non-caching Tip Tap - tip calculator and bill splitter Quote Link to comment
The Royles
The link for the coordinate calculator is http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/theroyles/Coordinates13.zip for the latest version, hope people find it useful. Andy Royle Quote Link to comment
+dougsmiley
Speaking of Palm software, we need a new cachemate. I wish someone would take the time to code this and sell it. Cachemate has not been updated for a couple years and it's really starting to show it's age. Something not quite as powerful, but like GSAK for the palm would be a great piece of software. I'd probably pay $20 or $30 bucks for it. Some features needed badly: Better support for Child Waypoints Filtering by type/size/etc. Quote Link to comment
