+Gadget_Cacher
I wanted to stop by the forums and say hi to every one. I live in Virginia in the Harrisonburg area. I just ordered an Explorist 400 since it can take SD cards and was not too expensive. I cannot wait to give this a try. I can't wait to get started. I am also open to any suggestions or tips from every one. So again, hello every one!! Quote Link to comment
+StarBrand
Welcome aboard. I'll keep my advice simple: Move on to the next cache as soon as you realize you are not having fun doing the current one. Quote Link to comment
+PlantAKiss
Hello from Richmond, Virginia! You're going to have a blast. Tips? Hmmm. Make sure you got the coordinates right in your GPSr...that helps. lol Don't expect the unit to lead you to within a foot of the cache. Once you are near (20-30 ft.), put it away and just look around. Poke and prod, look up, look down, look in. Think..."Now where would *I* hide a cache if I were going to hide one here." Sometimes just standing still and turning your head helps you to notice something that doesn't look quite natural. The more you find, the more you develop cache-sense. Good luck and have fun.
