How much accuracy should I expect w/ my GPS?
Team Dubbin replied to KateLavin's topic in GPS technology and devices
I'll argue that one to death. My Droid does a much better job then my Garmin 60csx. It never jumps around and is always +/- 6'. As a matter of fact I stopped using the garmin and stuck to just the Droid. -
I must be blind because I'm not seeing any of these options. This is Street Atlas USA 2009 Plus that I'm using. Got it Got it Got it!!! I had to click on HELP then select Welcome Screen to get the option to do this. That box never popped up for me on startup.

How do I stop SA 2009 from opening up to Salt Lake City? I keep saving map files to the place I want it to open up to (home town) but yet it doesn't help.

CITY NAVIGATOR NT or CITY NAVIGATOR
Team Dubbin replied to Team Dubbin's topic in GPS technology and devices
The backup is mainly for the use of other people when I drag them along I do need this for work though so there is no way I could be without it for a week or so. -
CITY NAVIGATOR NT or CITY NAVIGATOR
Team Dubbin replied to Team Dubbin's topic in GPS technology and devices
Hmm now I'm not sure what to do. I was thinking about keeping my 60CS but I don't think I can use NT with it. I guess I can just sell it and maybe buy something else that will use NT for a back up unit. -
Well I'm looking to pick up a 60CSX or 60CX and I'm wondering about the mapping software. Should I go with the NT or not? If I read everything correctly the only difference is that the NT has smaller map sizes. Is that correct? I'll also be getting a 2gb card for it so I don't think I'll have too much of a problem with space since I really only need to load a few states (MI, OH, IN, KY, WV PA).

So this isn't the original CD?

Then you must not have done very many nanos. I have ran into MANY damp and wet nanos.

Mapping software question
Team Dubbin replied to Always & Forever 5's topic in GPS technology and devices
You need to load the maps at the same time then you can choose which one you want to use. -
In GSAK click on file, export, cachmate PDB file. When the box pops open enter the name and place that you want to save it then click generate. After that all you need to do is a hotsync.
-
There really is no reason that they should conflict with each other.

Do you use two GPS units or one? - how many at home?
Team Dubbin replied to Ellteejak's topic in GPS technology and devices
I have a Delorme, Garmin and Magellan. I mostly use the Garmin and leave the others for back up. -
Its not like that at all. It is CLEARLY on RR property.
