+Tactical Cache Marauder
Well I just got my 60 CSX. Arrived really fast. Now I need to dig into the information that came with it. Simple question for those of you that have had one for a while. The belt clip button. It seems to have some thread lock compound on the screw. I screwed it into the spot for it as finger tight as I could get it. Did not use a tool to tighten it. How good is that thread compound? Anyone have a button come loose over time? Basically my question is is there any need for concern and should I take preventative measures and put some strong lock tite or other good thread compound on those threads? +Red90
Mine has always been in hand tight and never come loose. I'll check by hand that it is tight every now and then. Quote Link to comment
+Team Dubbin
I haven't touched mine since I got it, just now checked it and its still nice and tight. Quote Link to comment
+Tactical Cache Marauder
Well I guess Garmins thread lock stuff works pretty well then. I will forget about it and just check the button every so often. Think I will run out and find a cache with my new toy. Quote Link to comment

+DustyWalker
I lost one after about eight monts of use. It worked itself loose over time (I assume) and then fell off, I suspect from taking it on and off of it's neck lanyard and my RAM dashmount. Luckily I had a spare so was soon back in action. Now I check when I think of it. Quote Link to comment
+Sputnik 57
Garmin apparently didn't put thread lock on the early shipments of the 60C, and this was a common complaint when they first came out. I don't see it mentioned very often any more, so I am guessing the thread lock they now use is pretty good. Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
Without the thread lock it might come loose. I got in the habit of tightening my button every time I took the unit out, because it did come off several times. Quote Link to comment

Took if off here while back and misplaced it. I have a lathe so will make another when I need it. Quote Link to comment
+geobc
Personally, I never rely solely on that clip nub. I always use the lanyard, too, just in case. GeoBC Quote Link to comment
