Pokagon Nature Center
It is official, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources has commissioned the first in what we hope is three IDNR geocoins, each coin featuring a different Division that supports geocaching. We believe that this is the first geocoin sponsored by a state agency. For the coin collectors out there, there are two ways to get your hands on one. You can purchase from a small sample available online now, or wait this spring when 100 of these will be scattered in geocaches throughout the state parks and reservoirs. Where and when they get placed, and whether there will be any clues that they may be there are still undecided. Stay tuned for info on that. These trackable coins can be seen at: IDNR Geocoin Cybret: this may be more appropriate in the geocoin forum, but would like to let midwestern cachers get a chance at these, before announcing it to the entire geocoin collecting community! Pokagon Nature Center
Thanks to all who have helped support a state agency sponsored geocoin! Hard to believe that 1/4 of those available have sold already. Still plenty available. Quote Link to comment
