+StarBrand
Yes google Earth will work - zoom in on his address and look toward the bottom of the screen and you will see coordinates. They are reported as decimal degrees so will have to convert to decimal minutes for the site - try the utility at jeeep.com. Quote Link to comment
+Team Quincy
This site will convert an address to lat/long. http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/convert?form=address Quote Link to comment
+Markwell
Fine for the U.S. - outside, try maporama.com Quote Link to comment
+Retcon
Google maps will do it as well. Center on your desired location, and then click the "Link to this page" link in the upper right of the map and in that url are the lat/long (in decimal). I've done this many times to enter the lat/long into my gps of a place I'm going after finding it in google. Quote Link to comment
gpsvisualizer
GPS Visualizer's "Quick Geocoder" will do non-North American addresses, as long as it's in a country that Google has data for: http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/geocode Quote Link to comment
+exdiver
http://www.topozone.com/map.asp?lat=36.649...3&layer=DRG will give coords in nearly any format you wish. You will need to browse/pan a bit to get to your home. Edited February 3, 2007 by exdiver Quote Link to comment
