Dragonmaster13
Everytime I go to one of my waypoints it is slightly different, is there any way to average the new location shown everytime I am there or am I stuck just moving my waypoint? Legend CX Quote Link to comment
+Renegade Knight
If you are within 20' of the waypoint when you go back, you don't need to do anything. If you want you can just average them together. Since this site uses decimal minutes you can just averadge all your readings together. (55.555 + 55. 556 + 55.554)/3 = 55.555 and you are good. Dragonmaster13
Darn, was hoping there was a hidden setting that does it without having to bus out paper and pen and possibly calculator. Quote Link to comment
+WestWind
I know on my 76CSx it has an 'average waypoint' feature, it is in the manual, i have not used it though. Check your manual. +Cardinal Red
There is a Menu option to initially auto average the location coordinates. Still won't guarantee subsequent spot on accuracy. This is only consumer grade equipment. Close enough is all you get. Quote Link to comment
+Red90
When you "mark" a new waypoint at the bottom of the screen should be a button labelled "Avg". Click on that to average. Hold the GPS still and high with the antenna level. Quote Link to comment
