+atalon Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 I don't know about most of you folks, but when I get searching, hiking, driving to a cache it seems time speeds up. I was searching for What goes around and time seemed to disappear. Thirty minutes here, Forty minutes there by the time I finally found it, I was cutting it close to getting to work on time! Thanks for any insites to this phenom as related to caching and your stories. Quote
+Cladius Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 I agree, I don't enjoy caching before work as much as when I have all day ( allways a sense of urgency) I hate being rushed and not enjoying the hunt totally. Quote
+Foothills Drifter Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 (edited) Howdy...... I have been late to work 3 or 4 times because of caching. I also have come back late from lunch a time or 2 for the same reason. I get away with it because I am the manager of my department. I tell the owner that I stopped and saw a customer on the way in / back. He likes that Vern... Edited December 16, 2006 by Foothills Drifter Quote
+IndyTechNerd Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 it's a jump to the left, and then a step to the riiiiiight. you put your hands on your hips, then pull your knees in tiiiiiiight! Oh sorry, wrong time warp. I know I've burned a whole lunch hour standing in front of a pine tree without realizing it. And those free mornings back in the summer....2 or 3 caches and suddenly it was time to go home for lunch. It all goes back to the old saying, "time flies when you're having fun." Quote
+Deliveryguy428 Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 LETSSSSSSS DO THE TIME WARP AGAIN........ooops sorry... Interesting information though Quote
flyboyty Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 Sometimes I will head out after work and now with daylight savings, its dark before I get off work, so I totally lose track of time while caching, a couple of times, I get home around 3 AM, and go oh crap, how did that happen. Then as I log my finds, the realization that it was worth comes, and I sleep well. Ty Quote
+atalon Posted December 17, 2006 Author Posted December 17, 2006 Great replies all! Muti's are famous for eating time, esp. if there are puzzle's invovled. This past summer I hit this type and spent like half a day finding one cache! Drive, count this or that. Drive, solve a puzzle. Drive to here decypher code word. Drive ect. It was a great time and is on top of my best caches list. Quote
+michigansnorkelers Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 Friday, during lunch I ran to the bank went through McDonalds drive through Did a cache in a cemetary And got back to work in less than an hour. (spent another 5 minutes cleaning mud from my shoes and pants). Oh, my lunch hour was pretty similar Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday too. Quote
Via Con Ardillos Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 I went out to lunch at school for a few days to do a cache each day and had to drive a little faster on the way back to make the bell. luckily our next teacher didnt care. its all good though, its fun to escape from the prision that is our school and get out and about for 45 mins. +Silver Moon Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 My lunch break is so short, the only way I could Geocash during lunch is to burry it under my car, and visit it myself. Quote
