VoltageHz
I just bought a GPSmap 60Cx, I live in New Jersey. I was able to fit all of NJ along with a little bit of each state around it, that should be good for 99% of my driving. I saw a sale on Micro SD cards and picked a 512MB up, I was able to fit the whole eastern half of the country on it. That is what I currently keep in my unit. My question is this, should I be using the small 64MB card that came with the unit when only in my state? Is it any faster when processing, scrolling, or searching if there is a smaller card with less maps? Thanks! Quote Link to comment

beauxp
I have used my unit with a 64 mb card and a 512. I don't notice any difference. I would not worry about it. Quote Link to comment

autox-racer
One annoying thing that I find is when you load a big card with all that states the search list of points of interest at giant and a pain. I run a small card local or shut off all other maps. Quote Link to comment
+Night Stalker
It doesn't really slow down at all until you try POI's and ask for all the Walmarts. Then it will take a while. Quote Link to comment
