+Red90
LCD screens do not burn. It is CRT screens that burn. Quote Link to comment

+TheRoundings
Any of you guys ever have a problem with screen burnin. I have GPSmap 60csx that I leave on all of the time and just wondered if this would be an issue when the gpsr was just sitting still. LCD screens don't actually get burn-in but they do have a related problem though called image persistance. It is very unlikely that it would be a problem on a unit like this. With larger LCD displays some of the ways to remove the persistance is to switch on all pixels for a while or just to turn the unit off for a while. Also on larger LCDs sometimes running a powerpoint presentation that changes the display from one full colour to another (RGB) as well as white over and over for a few hours will help as well. See: http://compreviews.about.com/od/monitors/a/LCDBurnIn.htm and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image_Persistence Quote Link to comment
