+Shorelander
I'm sure that it's not that uncommon, but I was going over my last couple of week's finds and found that someone had found NG0244 a few months ago. (For some reason I hadn't checked the GC.com log before I went out.) I went back today to get an "after photo" from the same angle: Before After I marked it destroyed for GC.com and I'm planning to log "Not Found" with the NGS. How often do you come across something like this? Quote Link to comment
+Butano
A while back I went looking for this one, but it had been reset with another one. Both are still in the database as active, with the same exact coordinates. But this one has a similar condition to the one that you found. Well, the whole bridge was destroyed and not replaced. +Harry Dolphin
Shorelander, I would present that one to NGS as destroyed. Or, at least present it to Deb. I know that this one has been destroyed: KV0276. Last time I drove by, the bridge had been destroyed, and rebuilt. I just haven't stopped by to take a new photo. Not a good distance shot, but it's on the shoulder of 1&9 in Lincoln Park in Jersey City. Quote Link to comment

A metal detector would tell you it if it was there or not. Quote Link to comment

I agree with 68-eldo, that mark just might still be there. personally I would try to find out for sure before filing a report with Deb Quote Link to comment
+GEO*Trailblazer 1
Yes it (appears) to be under the thin layer of cement. Like stated a metal detector will tell you for sure. I would not take very much away from the patch they have done,it may start the erosion again. Quote Link to comment
foxtrot_xray
I wouldn't worry about erosion too much, I mean, in the before and after, a crack above and to the left of the pipe has gotten noticably larger. It's going to continue to cruble away at any rate. Depending on how 'thin' a layer is, I'd chip it away.. (If possible to do and not get questioned by police or anything..) FOx. Quote Link to comment
+Shorelander
Well, I went back and took a look. Not having a metal detector, I had to try using a magnet (which, I determined, wouldn't work even if the disk was there) and tapping it with a hammer and listening to the sounds. No luck on either. So I'll change my original log on GC to a DNF. Quote Link to comment
