paladaxar Posted July 6, 2006 Posted July 6, 2006 Does anyone here use/create pocket queries? I think the system might be broken. Every query I create gives me "no results". I have chosen a HUGE area and even checked every check mark...still no results. Could anyone give me some pointers on what I might be doing wrong? Or, confirm that the system is, indeed not working. +cache_test_dummies Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 Check to see if you have chosen conflicting settings in your query. For example, under "Show me caches that ..." section of the query, if you have checked both "I haven't found" and "I have found", the query isn't going to return any results, because there can't be a cache that you have both found and not found. +marc_54140 Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 If you are not receiving anything in your e-mail, check to see if your account allows you to get zip files. If not, there is a box at the bottom of the query page to uncheck. Quote

boda Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 Although I have not experienced a problem, I've seen other threads on this subject where SPAM filters are the culprit. You might want to check to see if emails with your PQ attachments are being filtered. Quote
Markwell Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 I have chosen a HUGE area and even checked every check mark...still no results.I think that's the problem. Do you have both caches you've found AND caches you HAVEN'T found checked? If so, there's no single cache that fulfills both requirements. Read up on this logic on my FAQ. Quote
Night Stalker Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 The more boxes you check the more likely you are to have a conflict that will prevent you from getting results. Before you create a query decide what you really want and just enter enough information to get those results. for instance my query has checked caches I don't own and caches I have not found. This just about covers it unless you want to restrict your results to a particular cache type. Quote
miss_butterfly Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 You can check quickly if you have produced a valid query by clicking on the preview pocket query icon by your query name on the main PQ page. If you have caches listed in that, then your quiery is working fine, so you should check to see if the email is getting blocked. Quote
IV_Warrior Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 Post a link to the query so we can look at what choices you've made, and give you some direct help as to what you may be doing wrong. Quote
